Screen test FAQ
How do I check for dead pixels on my screen?
Select different solid colors (white, black, red, green, blue) and enter fullscreen mode. Look carefully for any pixels that do not match the surrounding area — dark spots on bright colors or bright spots on dark colors indicate dead or stuck pixels.
What is the difference between dead and stuck pixels?
Dead pixels are permanently off (appear black on any color). Stuck pixels are permanently on (appear as a single color regardless of background). Both can be detected by cycling through different solid colors.
Can I download the solid color images?
Yes. In solid color mode, click the Download button in the control panel to save a PNG image at your screen resolution. This is useful for calibration, testing, or sharing with others.
What keyboard shortcuts are available?
F toggles fullscreen, H shows/hides the control panel, Arrow Right or Space cycles to the next color, Arrow Left goes to the previous color, and number keys 1-9 select colors directly. Esc exits fullscreen or closes dialogs.
