WebP to PNG
Save WebP images as PNG files that desktop apps, printers and older editors open. Convert a whole folder at once, keep transparency, with no upload step.
What this WebP to PNG converter does
WebP is the format most websites serve today, and some desktop apps, printers and older editors still cannot open it. This page reads .webp files in your browser and saves each one as .png, a format every operating system and image editor accepts. Transparency and image dimensions are kept, and the PNG drops straight into a document or a print layout. Expect a bigger file, since PNG stores the decoded picture.
How to convert WebP to PNG
- 1.Add one or more .webp files
- 2.Leave the output on .png — this page writes PNG only
- 3.Run the conversion from the bottom bar
- 4.Download the .png files or the whole batch as a ZIP
Why convert WebP to PNG

WebP to PNG FAQ
Which format comes back?
Each .webp file is written as a .png file. The output selector on the file cards lists .png only; use the WebP to JPG page when you want a smaller JPG instead.
Is transparency preserved?
Yes. WebP and PNG both support an alpha channel, so transparent icons, logos and cut-outs stay transparent in the .png output.
Does the PNG take up more space?
Usually yes. WebP compresses photographic content more tightly, while the PNG keeps the decoded pixels, so a PNG is often several times larger. Choose PNG when the picture has to open in any program, and keep the WebP when file size is what matters.
Can I convert many WebP files at once?
Yes. Add as many .webp files as you need, convert them from the bottom bar in one batch, and download the .png results as a ZIP or one file at a time.
Are my WebP files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, so the files stay on your device and are not sent to a conversion server.
