What can I encode in the QR code?

You can encode a URL, plain text, multiline text, and characters such as Chinese, Japanese, or emoji. The QR code size and data capacity depend on the amount of content.

What does the error correction level change?

Error correction controls how much of the QR pattern can be damaged or obscured while remaining readable. Low uses less redundancy, while High adds more redundancy and is useful when you add a center image or expect less ideal scanning conditions.

Which output format should I choose?

Choose SVG when you need scalable artwork, PNG for a crisp raster image, JPEG for a standard photo-style image, or WebP for a modern web image.

What does the size setting control?

Size controls the width and height of the generated square image in pixels. A larger value creates a larger download without changing the encoded content.

What does the margin setting control?

Margin adds space around the QR pattern. Keeping a clear margin helps separate the code from nearby content when it is scanned.

Do dot and corner styles change the encoded content?

No. Dot and corner styles change the visual drawing of the QR code while keeping the same content and error correction settings. Use a clear foreground and background contrast when styling the code.

Can I add an image in the center?

Yes. Add an image in the Center image section, then adjust its size and margin. A higher error correction level is recommended when the center image covers part of the QR pattern.

What does the text-only preview option do?

It shows the QR pattern as Unicode block characters so you can inspect the encoded layout in text form. It does not change the QR content, styling, or downloaded PNG, JPEG, WebP, or SVG file. The option is off by default.

Is the QR code content uploaded?

The page generates the QR code in the browser from the content you enter. It does not provide an upload step for the QR content.
